Revive Your Houseplants
As winter rolls into spring, there’s a good chance that you’ll notice your houseplants are looking a bit stressed. Being inside all winter is not the same for them as it is for you, even if you mist and water them correctly and make sure that they get a lot of light.
The lack of actual sunlight can harm them, and so can the lack of high humidity. If you want to help your houseplants recover faster and get into spring, you can revive them in a couple of ways. One of those ways is to repot them.
If you don’t want to put them into a bigger pot, you can also prune the roots and put them back in the same pot. This will keep your houseplant basically the same size and give it some new life.
If you don’t have the time to repot your plant, you can take the top inch of potting mix out and replace that. It isn’t as good as repotting, but it will help your plant more than doing nothing.
Giving the plant a good blast of water to thoroughly rinse off the leaves is also important, and helps the plant to breath.
