Boost Your Fertilizer With Molasses

Fertilizer is important, and there are lots of different kinds that you can use to make your lawn healthy and strong. However, here is a great piece of gardening advice for all of you that might not want all of the chemicals that come in some of those fertilizers. If you’re trying to avoid chemicals, one of the things you can do is to become more involved with organic fertilizers, and a great organic fertilizer is molasses.

By using a liquid fertilizer that you like and adding molasses to it, you can give an already good fertilizer a great boost. The soil and the microbes in it both love molasses, and it’ll help your plants grow much better. You can also spray your molasses directly onto your plants. Since it’s not a pesticide or a chemical, there isn’t any harm in putting it on the plants or in the soil, and you won’t have to be worried about whether you’re ingesting it.

The unsulphered, blackstrap molasses is the best choice, but other varieties work as well.
